-Printed directions on how to resize vintage patterns
-Plus, I will throw in a few other fun surprise vintage items from my own collection

How to Enter:
1. Leave a comment here telling me why you are interested in living vintage. Your email address must be included in the post or available in your profile for me to contact you or you can't win (see the note below)! This is Mandatory, do this first.

Good luck!

** QUICK NOTE- I've been reading some of the responses and they are really great. Thanks! Everything old is new again! The romance, the rustle of skirts, gloves - what's not to love??

Such an exciting giveaway, what sweet suprises. I have been looking for a vintage cookbook everywhere lately and its super sweet of you to give away a pattern from your own collection!

For me it started out when I was a little girl growing up with a Model T in my front yard and going to car shows everyweekend. I knew from about age 6 I was going to work on old cars when I was big enough. From then the love of old cars especially those from the late 1940s and early 1950s evolved into a love of beaded cardigans and then onto mid century furniture.

My favorite things about living a vintage life and collecting is the hunt for the past as well as the quality and workmanship of anything made in the past. Back then these were made of quality materials in durable ways unlike todays furniture and fashion.

The best thing about vintage is that it's unique and has character. You can't find that in the stores.

I don't know what my favorite part of vintage stuff is. Probably that not everyone has it - you can't go down the street and buy one.

I love the way women's bodies were celebrated in styles that flatter but don't reveal too much. I've taken up sewing to try to recreate this look for myself.

I love living vintage! I really enjoy reverting back to a simpler time in my mind when cooking from old cookbooks, wearing vintage clothes and decorating with items from years ago. I also love that it sets me apart from those around me! I would love to win! sarahteel@yahoo.com

Living vintage is so fun and unique!~ I love buying vintage clothes and home decor in etsy :)

The reason is because I love the fashion of the 20s-50s. They remind me of classic time that always stays...classic

I follow through daily check-ins, not through blogspot. As a bigger girl I found your upsizing instructions really helpful. I'm finally in a place where I can start living the vintage-inspired life that I want. I peruse the shops in small Texas towns regularly for clothing and kitchen items and lamps and just this weekend I moved in to my very first home! The cookbook would really help break it in. So, yeah, that's me! Love your blog!

Vintage items are so well made; they really stand the test of time. Things now are made so cheaply, I hate how we have turned into a throwaway society.

Vintage things are great because the old saying "they don't make them like they used to" is so true. I love knowing that many of the things in my home were in use long before I came along.

I am sure many have great reasons they love vintage style, but mine is simply becasue I love my girlfriend and she loves living vintage.

So fingers crossed! What a great Valentines gift this would be!

Your sooo cute. I had a Rockabilly Band play at my first wedding. I love that music. They were called the Rockin Rebels and they started the rockabilly hype in orange county californie in the 80's. I also like the Horror Pops and saw them in Oklahoma last spring. I was almost the oldest person there LOL.. Please enter me in your giveaway!! Thanks! Jena

Vintage sounds so "romantic and formal," which is what I love. How about me just saying I love everything retro! From the home cooked food (not microwaved); to the cat eye sunglasses, to the fashion (glam) to having everyone over on Saturday night. A simpler time with more value. You've got the style when you've gone retro!

Vintage is what I live for when quilting! I've hunted high and low to find vintage fabric. I've found several including one that is an Amish general store. I've also started going to thrift stores and looking for old clothing. The fabric works great in quilts but it's hard to find the type I'm looking for.

I love vintage aprons! I love everything vintage, really.

There are many reasons I love living vintage. First, I am modest. Modesty doesn't mean you need to sacrifice being beautiful. I love sewing patterns from the late 50s and early 60s because they are classic, modest and lovely. No one looks at you and thinks, "Oh she must be one of THOSE Christians." They look at me and think, "Oh, your dress is darling!"

Also, vintage=reusing! Not that I don't love new things, but most vintage products were built to last. I have my grandmother's measuring cups and casserole dishes. Not only are they beautiful and unique, but it's way more eco-friendly then going out and buying plastic crap.

Living vintage appeals to me for a few different reasons...I love the idea of special items being reused or repurposed into new things. I love the idea of knowing there may be a story behind that little treasure I found at my local vintage shop. And I adore vintage clothing because it feels to one-of-a-kind and unique. I hate to look like everyone else!
