Wedding Music Song Guide
Project Wedding just created a new database that gives a ton of ideas for appropriate music to use for the ceremony and reception. One nice feature is that they have it broken into sections based on the event, like bridal procession or father-daughter dance. The guide has various genres from classical to country to (you guessed it) rockabilly. The only downfall is that you have to sift through all of the titles to find the type of music you want and you will have to be familiar with the artists in the genre to know that. I found this to be a good way to jog my memory for ideas.
Project wedding also has a blog if you would like to follow. I do!

Time is ticking away!
As I get closer to the wedding I will probably be posting more sporadically. I also have a feeling the posts will be about more of the day to day organizing issues I am running up against. No matter how well you plan, there will always be last minute things that throw you for a loop.
Some of the things I have been dealing with lately are:
Bridal party members disappearing. I am finding out through other wedding blogs that this is more common than I thought. For my fiancee and I this is not as much of a logistical issue as it is a disappointment. As we are not having a traditional wedding, a lot of the things that our bridesmaids and groomsmen would "normally" do don't exist. We picked the people we did because they were and are important to our growth in our lives and we knew they would be able to give us the emotional support we will need on our wedding day. I know from performing at hundreds of weddings that having a wedding party that can help to alleviate stress is the key to enjoying your own wedding. Losing one (or two in our case) added extra emotional stress as we struggled to figure out why the person did it, how (or if) we were going to approach them about it and how we were going to remedy it. To be honest, I don't feel that I will be able to distance myself from this until after the wedding and I know that everything turned out okay. I am sure it will be fine, but who really needs the extra worry?
Wrong. The freezer that they were going to use has decided to stop working and now there are twitterings from my mom of buying some of the cupcakes, which to me defeats the purpose of trying to save money. Plus it just won't taste as good and we would still have to make about 40 that we are planning to be gluten-free. I am hoping the freezer can get fixed in the next few days and this won't be an issue. Cross your fingers for me...
